While Felix was speaking he mentioned the subtleties in which the Jews were separated from the rest of society. They were getting used to being sort of segregated from gentiles. When he was at camp the people from other camps would yell at them an throw rocks at the jews. It started with the younger generation, they were just used to having stars on their shirts, and being forced to buy from special stores and live in a certain place.
Im not trying to down play Felix, because he made it out alive. But, we were told that we would be talked to by a Holocaust survivor. He never even saw war at all. I wanted to ask questions that he wouldnt be able to answer because he never was a part of the Holocaust. But, i did enjoy hearing his story. It was a good story, and i learned information that i never knew before about the Olympics that were held in Germany.
